This little topiary tower thing has lived all over our house but this year I have it in my newly-finished-ish.

About three and half years ago we managed to leave our stressful, under-payed, over-worked, over-charged life in the city and buy a big house on a big property.

It’s something I grew up thinking romantic thoughts about and hoping I might be able to experience one day, maybe when I retired.I just made the monogram in Picmonkey and flipped it around.. You can see that doing this on a hard surface instead of fabric really gives a very imperfect result and the ink catches in any tiny bit of grain that there may be in the wood..

I really don’t mind the overall look at all though.It’s called character right?.

And the best part of this whole project?Well, that was the part where Kennedy liked it so much that I didn’t even get in trouble for painting over her colorful “masterpiece” from 6 months ago.. Or maybe she just hasn’t realized it’s the same box yet!.
